PROJECT OBJECTIVES

SECURITAS ČR s.r.o. was looking for a suitable supplier of rugged mobile devices and approached our sister company in the Czech Republic, KODYS, spol. s r.o., which is the local partner of Zebra Technologies for the Czech Republic, with a requirement to upgrade Zebra MC65 mobile terminals and, among other things, for a new corporate application SMP (Securitas Mobile Platform), which is based on the Android operating system. Due to the previous positive experience with Zebra terminals, SECURITAS wanted to continue using these devices. KODYS, spol. s r.o. recommended the rugged Zebra TC56 terminal. After testing it, we received feedback from SECURITAS staff which was excellent.

SOLUTION

The cooperation was carried out with the aforementioned delivery of the new TC56 terminal types, which amounted to roughly 140 units in 2017, with the potential of the entire order being much larger. Therefore, after this potential has been reached, the continuous delivery of these durable TC56 terminals is being continued and, in addition, KODYS, spol. s. r. o., as system integrator, has supplied SECURITAS with a complete custom-made solution for the registration and inventory of assets using the barcode.
